This last weekend I was out taking some photos of the Tears Fears and Beers Mtn. Bike race that is held annually in Ely. It's an enduro style race where there are special timed sections that are mostly downhill. I was at 3 different downhill locations durring the day. We even had several pro riders show up this year and had doubled the attendence from last years race.

I was really surprised at how well these photos turned out, considering this is the first time I've ever done action shots, short of dropping an icecube in a cup and trying to capture the splace haha. Everyone who saw them on the slide show seemed to be impressed as well.

This was taken from the truck on the way to Salt Lake City for Kellen and William to buy their new bikes... First sunrise i'd seen in quite a while.... It was a good one. This is HDR but no pushed really far, just enough to make it look a little better.

This shot is from Ely's Prom. I think the theme was Arabian Nights. They called me on pretty short notice so they did the backdrop. I heard the thing you never want to hear doing business. " I thought this would be more... " ouch... live and learn i suppose. I hope I get next years.

These are part of my final for photography. It's based all on thrice lyrics. So far I've had the theme of self portraiture. It's a lot harder than I first thought it would be.

I'll hang up my wings, I'll never fly again. This one is about Icarus and Daedalus.

This one i wanted just silhouettes but that was too dark, I like how this looks depending on what monitor I'm on. ha.

I havn't put anything up for a while cuz I'm pretty lazy lately... I didn't take this photo but I designed the rest of it, she had a basic outline of what she wanted so I just thought I would help a friend out. :)
